First, tap on the star icon on the menu.  Next, search for national teams by country name.  The results will be categorized by each sport.   You can choose to view the team before you add it just add it immediately. Viewing the team by tapping its icon may help confirm it's the specific national team and sport you're seeking.  Add the team to your Home Screen by tapping the blue + symbol.
